Band Of The Month
Let Go - Let Go - Stephen

With Let Go hailing from the same area as Jimmy Eat World and having great pop tendencies it would be simple to make the easy connection but its simply not that straight forward. From these Texans what we have is a three piece with an I-pod as a forth member. Yes you read that right. Before jumping to conclusions I can tell you now its so much better than the above statement may suggest.

In Let Go we have a powerful yet melodic three-piece rock band. If a rule book on how to write tight pop rock songs is to be written then this album will be a reference point for sure. Its rock solid, wonderfully melodic and is phat with capital PH.

This is one of the few albums of late I'm yet to find an overly weak track. This simply is a set of songs that have very little wrong with them. Many will deem them inoffensive rock but I’m sorry these are performed with such conviction that I simply can’t state that phrase to be true when relating to Let Go. If looking for strong tracks in particular the short opener 'Illuminati'. It's one of those songs that simply inspires on so many levels. A song to listen to just before you’re either a) going on stage to rock out or b) going out for a night out. It will pump you up perfectly for both.

A review of this album simply wouldn’t be complete without speaking of the production. This was recorded by lead singer/guitarist Jamie in his home studio - The Panic Button. I’m yet to hear anything else from said studio but wow a sterling job has been done on this. Simply a word to describe this record overall is just simply "tight". If honest punk/pop/emo/rock is your bag check these Texans out.
