| Pep-Rock: For those who don't know about Josh Doyle, can you describe yourself and your music? |
| Josh: Ok - well my tastes are eclectic musically - I tend to do whatever I feel like doing - but my main goal in life is to change peoples lives and do some good with music – y’know make a difference. I guess the stuff I’ve been working on of late is sort of postal service-ish. People have said things like Jimmy Eat World produced by Timbaland so make from that what you will . . . |

| Pep-Rock: Most people will remember you for your role in three piece the 'Dumdums'. Can you tell us how similar your new music is to the teen-friendly punk-pop of the Dumdums? |
| Josh: Well my old group were more on the pop side of things, my current output is more on the Indie side - actually I don’t know - there is a progression. People who understood the heart of the dumdums stuff - apart from the pop hits we brought out to pay our record companies' hotel bills - will see the similarity and the progression - its a bit darker and a bit more grown up. |

| Pep-Rock: What happened with the Dumdums? Why did you decide to split - do you still see the other guys in the band? |
| Josh: Hmmm well I just didn’t feel like it anymore - our record company wanted us to be Busted (British pop-wannabe-punk band) - we were the inspiration for them and they wanted to cash in - we had the opportunity to sign on for another few years and write pop hits and be who busted became. But I thought - sod that – that’s not what I was in this for, I had reached my pop limitations, so we wrote an awesome album of slightly more progressive stuff - along the lines of Rival Schools and the Foo Fighters - and I didn’t feel support from the record company. I was frustrated but kind of wanted to move on anyway. As for the other guys - yeah we're still friends. Me and Steve email each other - Stu would but he's just not really ever been an email kind of guy. . . Those guys are in Clarkesville now. |

| Pep-Rock: How different is your new music compared to that of the Dumdums? |
| Josh: This stuff is accessible to people who dug the dumdums but it’s also getting a lot of fans from the Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World camps. My new band who are going to be coming out on a major label later this year in America , is going to be a whole new ballgame. But this stuff is really cool. |

| Pep-Rock: Why did you decide to move over to the States to promote your new music? What are the major differences you have noticed between the States and the UK ? |
| Josh: Well, I'm half American and I was sick of crap English weather - where I live now it’s sunny about nine months a year - I love it. Weather has an effect on me. The dumdums were signed to MCA out here with Blink and New Found Glory and stuff, so there are people here who saw the potential I had with my young dums and think I can take America with my new stuff, which is nice of them to think that. The differences? weather - telly (though I get premiership football now yesss) - food - though I get Branston Pickle and Marmite now yesss!! |

| Pep-Rock: What are the advantages of working as a solo artist rather than as part of a band? |
| Josh: Well, it’s nice to call the shots and not have to have everyone in agreement all the time, because in a band you have to try to satisfy everyone. But I’m going back to the band format when I tour and when I start playing with my non solo group because it’s great to have the vibe of a band. |

| Pep-Rock: What can we expect of Josh Doyle? Is there any material we can buy/download? |
| Josh: Well expect to be surprised probably - people who don’t know me except from the dumdums pop hits will not realise what it is I do. There is so far an EP on sale - only online at joshdoyle.com – it’s worked out pretty well doing it this way cause i'm under the radar building up a new fanbase and its great being Indie again. |
